Student Art Gallery Submissions Due April 26!
On May 30, 2024, the DDSB will open the next Student Art Gallery – a district-wide art collection housed in the Education Centre, displaying artworks created and curated by students in Grades 7 to 12 with staff support.
The theme of this year’s gallery is My Journey, My Joy, My Genius. Artwork should focus on the student’s personal journey, sources of joy, and expressions of genius. Digital representations of completed (or nearly completed) artworks should besubmitted through this form. The deadline for submission is Friday, April 26, 2024.

Coyote Sightings
There is nothing more important than the safety and well-being of our students and staff. For this reason, we are informing you that we have seen a coyote in the vicinity of our school again.
Students are reminded to always be aware of their surroundings. We ask that you take a moment to review safety with your child at home.
To assist, we have compiled the following list of guidelines:
- Avoid approaching or feeding wildlife
- Avoid taking shortcuts through fields, wooded areas and parks
- Always walk with a buddy to and from school
- Never walk alone, especially at night
- Always be aware of your surroundings especially when wearing earphones
If you or your student have concerns, please contact us here at the school.
For useful information regarding how to manage coyote encounters, check out the Ministry of Natural Resources link below:
